Food and Dairy Technology Cooperative Society Ltd  (खाद्य तथा दुग्ध प्रबिधि जन शहकारि  संस्था लि.), in collaboration with Department of Food Technology and Quality Control; National Dairy Development Board; Dairy Development Corporation; dairy industries and cooperative societies; Kharipati Dairy Pvt Ltd; Nepal Dairy Science Association; CAFODAT College including Nepal Animal Science Association and other related stakeholders has planned to organize One-day Seminar on “Nepalese Dairy Sector: At the Crossroads of Survival—Act Now to Save It.” (“नेपाली दुग्ध क्षेत्र अस्तित्वको दोसाँधमा—अहिले नै जोगाऔँ” - एकदिने सेमिनार) on Sunday Magh 18, 2082 (1 February 2026). Venue: "Ananda Bhumi Business Center”, Just Behind Everest Hotel, Naya Baneswar, Kathmandu.

Around 130 stakeholders including chhurpi producers, cow milk cheese and yak cheese producers, and small-scale dairy equipment manufacturers and suppliers are invited to participate and share their challenges and perspectives. Special efforts are also being made to ensure participation from the Karnali region, Himalayan yak cheese producers, and representatives from the private sector, to ensure balanced and inclusive dialogue across the dairy value chain.

To provide an exposure to the young graduate students from the faculty of food technology, dairy technology, nutrition and dietetics, and business management are encouraged to attend the seminar.

The collaborators are expected to make a modest contribution to cover towards the seminar expenses. Institutional participants (organizers/co-organizer) will pay at least NPR 10,000; and can send up to 6 participants.
